Today 19th May 2012 – The leading leisure airline, Jet2.com has commenced flights to Pula.
Jet2.com passengers on board the first flight have been welcomed by Pula Airport authority, local government and Istria tourist board’s director. Pretty majorettes have led the passengers into the terminal were they have been offered welcome drinks and home-made cakes.
Steve Heapy, Chief Commercial Officer of Jet2.com said: “It’s fantastic that, with the launch of Pula, we are able to give the people of the North West the chance to jet away to this wonderful destination. It is also great for the people of Pula and the surrounding areas that they can now fly direct to Manchester”.
Bruno Rogovic, Managing Director at Pula Airport, said: “we are very glad to have the leading leisure airline, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays operating to Pula Airport. Thanks to Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, which through Manchester Airport covers a strong market area of 6.8 million people meaning a large number of holiday makers and leisure passengers from the North West of England will be able to fly to Pula Airport and to enjoy the beauties and potentials of the Istrian Region. Likewise I believe a lot of local travellers will soon take advantage of Jet2.com friendly low fares and will visit Manchester and its beautiful surroundings. I wish this route every success.”
Flights are available weekly on Saturdays from 19th May to 6th October 2012.
